A 34-year-old man from Katowice was abducted in the middle of September 2025 and later killed. According to the investigation, the perpetrators lured him out of his flat, bound him and pushed him into a car. His body was found on 29 November 2025 in a cemetery in the village of Żytno, near Radomsko in the Łódź Voivodeship, having been thrown into an elderly woman's grave; his identity was confirmed by DNA testing. The main suspect left Poland after the killing and was detained in Ostrava, in the Czech Republic, in October 2025 under a European Arrest Warrant on suspicion of the abduction. He was extradited to Poland by the Silesian department of the National Prosecutor's Office for organised crime and corruption. On 27 August 2026 he was charged with offences including participation in an armed criminal group, homicide committed with particular cruelty, and trafficking in significant quantities of narcotics. The court granted the prosecution's application and remanded him in custody for three months. According to unofficial information from the investigation reported by the sources, the background to the abduction was a conflict within the football hooligan scene with which the victim was connected. Six men associated with the same supporters' group have been detained in the case. The exact date of the killing has not been established from the available reporting. It occurred between the abduction in mid-September 2025 and the discovery of the body on 29 November 2025.
