A 29-year-old woman was killed on the evening of 14 October 2025 at her home in the Gorla district of Milan. Her former partner, an entrepreneur in his fifties, is alleged to have obtained a copy of the keys to her flat and broken in with a knife taken from his own collection, attacking her with extreme violence as the relationship was ending. On the investigators' reconstruction presented at trial she was struck 76 times; reporting on the day after the killing had put the figure at 24.
