A man in his early 40s was shot and wounded near the Corduff shopping centre on Blackcourt Avenue in Dublin 15 at about 4.40pm on 26 August 2025. Gardaí believed the shooting was a planned attack, and worked on the theory that the victim and a close associate were chased by the gunman through the Corduff area before shots were discharged. The victim's injuries were not regarded as life-threatening and he later recovered. On 4 September 2026 a woman in her 50s appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged in connection with the shooting, and a man in his 20s, arrested under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007, was due before Dublin District Court the same evening.
