A 35-year-old man was shot in the chest and killed at dawn in a rural area on the outskirts of Santadi (Sulcis, Sardinia), about 60 km from Cagliari. Investigators are working on the theory that the killing followed a quarrel between the victim and the suspect that escalated. A suspect was taken to the carabinieri barracks for questioning; forensic specialists from Cagliari were sent to examine the scene.
