A double murder investigation was launched after two men, aged 50 and 54, were found dead in a flat on Chancellor Street in the Partick area of Glasgow at about 16:40 on Sunday 16 August 2026. Post-mortem examinations carried out on the Monday and Tuesday confirmed both causes of death as murder, and detectives believe a knife was used. The flat was the home of one of the men and the two knew each other; the last sighting of either was on the Friday morning. Police Scotland's Major Investigation Team appealed for witnesses and said it was keeping an open mind on whether one or more people were responsible. No arrest has been reported.
