A 49-year-old man was fatally stabbed at Colico, in the province of Lecco, on 29 August 2026. An 83-year-old man, his father, was arrested over the killing. According to the reconstruction by the public prosecutor's office and the carabinieri, the two men lived together and the elder attacked his son with a kitchen knife during an argument. The victim was airlifted by rescuers to the San Gerardo hospital in Monza, already in a desperate condition, and died there.
