A man's body was found with signs of violence, apparently caused by a bladed weapon, inside a home on a residential development in Torrevieja, Alicante province, on 10 July 2026. Guardia Civil officers from the Torrevieja station attended along with judicial police specialists from the provincial command and forensic examiners, who inspected the scene. The body was taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Alicante after a judicial commission authorised its removal. One person was detained the same day in connection with the discovery. The investigation is ongoing.
