A man who worked as a debt collector was stabbed to death on 30 July 2026 in the Barriomar area of the municipality of Murcia, and his body was left under a bridge beneath a dual carriageway. He was found unconscious and covered in blood by a local resident; paramedics who reached the scene were unable to save him. His body bore around thirty stab wounds. Six people were arrested by the national police, all of them covered in blood when detained. According to the investigation so far, the victim had struck one of them — a person with whom he had financial and family dealings — which set off a fight between the two, after which those involved attacked him with knives. He died of his injuries.
