A 42-year-old actor was seriously injured on 5 October 2026 in via Barrili, in the Monteverde Vecchio district of Rome. He was riding an electric scooter when he was struck by a kick delivered from the passenger side of a passing minicar. He fell and hit a parked car violently, suffering severe head trauma, and was admitted to intensive care at the San Camillo hospital in serious condition. A witness who went to his aid gave an account to investigators, who also examined CCTV from the surrounding area. On that evidence the two people aboard the minicar — who may, investigators do not exclude, be minors — turned back to retrieve a shoe lost during the attack. The Rome public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for attempted murder. No suspect has been identified. Investigators are also examining whether the same minicar was involved in two earlier attacks in the preceding days.
