A 57-year-old man was shot dead on the afternoon of Wednesday 7 October 2026 inside the cosmetic surgery clinic he ran in the Real Panorama development in Marbella, Malaga province. The attack took place shortly before 18:00; the emergency call reached the Andalusian 112 service at about 17:40. According to initial reports, a man dressed in dark clothing and with his face covered entered the premises and fired at the victim at close range. He was struck several times in the head, and medical teams sent to the scene were unable to stabilise him and confirmed his death there. Reports indicate the attackers fled on a motorcycle, with some accounts pointing to a second person who left the area in a vehicle; those details remain to be established by the investigation. The victim was a plastic surgeon of more than three decades' standing who had headed plastic surgery departments at two private hospitals in the province between 2008 and 2018 before founding the Marbella clinic in 2018. National Police units, local police and emergency medical services attended, and the judicial police took over the investigation; the body was removed several hours after the killing. No arrests had been made and the motive had not been made public. Investigation sources have ruled out, for the time being, any link to organised crime. A possible connection with a dissatisfied patient has circulated as a line of enquiry but is expressly not a conclusion of the investigation, and the sources state there is insufficient public evidence to attribute the killing to any patient, relative or particular procedure.
